The 5-cylinder 2.5 TFSI engine in the current Audi RS3 is arguably the best engine the company has ever produced. So much promise and tuning possibilities, it really makes the giant V12s in the Italian supercars and German barnstormers seem excessive and wasteful.

The 86 is closer to the Mustang than the Miata, at least the 4-cylinder Mustang. The Miata is more of a club car, designed around a convertible sub frame. Even the Miata with the hardtop still has that old MG feel about it.
