WTF do motorcycles have to do with any of this? I know how fast speed can build - the entire problem with the Acura was that it was so isolated that the usual senses didn’t click.

They do it so their brand is recognizable - some do it better than others. Jeep and BMW are probably the two most successful from that standpoint.

I’m all for it. It’s like...badge engineering done right. Instead of GM’s fascia swapping, there’s a ton of visual separation between Kia and Hyundai, and at least on my test drives, they drive differently, too.

For my driving record it was!

Like...cruising down the highway...glance down and I’d be going 95. So quiet and so smooth that you’d forget how fast it was going.

I think the Juke also just had/has no real sense of relation to the rest of the Nissan lineup. It reminds me of the Isuzu Vehicross - weird just to be weird.

Back in 2002/3 I traded in my Acura TL-S (made me realize I didn’t like trunks, went too fast too effortlessly) for a Nissan Xterra in basically a straight-up key swap.

Then a few years after that, when gas prices exploded in 2005, I traded the Xterra for a 2002 Mazda Protege5 straight-up.

Loved both of them. The

Just imagine being the lead designer on this.

I don’t know if the Equinox is bougie enough for Target

- Cloth diapers for us, too.

40 here. Wife is 38. She drives an Odyssey. Probably half of our friends with kids (or parents of kids’ friends) have a minivan.

Meh. I’m in a similar position to the OP. Three kids I take to school every day. Frequent need to carry a moderate amount of things - including an electric scooter I use for last mile commuting. I dislike the low entry/exit position of cars, and am always worried it’ll be the thing that reawakens a herniated cervical

There’s a classic twitter thread from earlier this year making similar observations of their various ads and photography:

Or, you know, all the other stuff to do at a gym besides ride a stationary bike...

The idea of small children carrying crap for you is hilarious.

It’s worth pointing out that the tickets that go on sale tonight will only be for something like a third to half of the showtimes that’ll be there on opening night/weekend. TFA, TLJ, Infinity War, Endgame all seemed to bloom with additional showtimes in every single theater I frequent a few weeks before release.

My wife has an Odyssey and I’ve got a Pilot. We both love them.

When I was a kid I remember having to sit side-by-side with my mom in the passenger seat of my dad’s Datsun Z when we drove out to Arlington for Rangers games. That’s...illegal today.

Eh...moped may have its origins in motorized pedal bikes, but come on. It’s been basically synonymous with scooter for decades. Two-wheeled powered things with a step-through design. The main difference seems to be price, engine size, and insurance rates. https://bikerrated.com/bikes/choosing/moped-vs-scooter/

Ulysses Grant had some thoughts on this 145 years ago, in a speech ten years after the Civil War:

I didn't see any leaks - are you sure this was a Land Rover?
