I don’t disagree that accessibility is a great thing to have in games. I just don’t believe that developers should be lampooned for creating a specific, crafted, difficult experience, if they’re not interested in capturing a wide audience. Not every game has to appeal to everyone.

Disagree. Sekiro’s world, characters and story are fine but the real experience is the gameplay. The excitement of exchanging blows with enemies almost like a choreographed dance. Making the game easier would just allow players to rush down bosses while disregarding their defense because damage becomes less of a

Games aren’t books or movies, Heather. By design, they’re not going to be playable by everybody. That’s too bad, but that’s the nature of the medium.

I also don’t go around and tell everywhere how to make their nachos.

There are so many games out there, Joshua. This one just isn’t for you, and that’s okay. It doesn’t need to bend over backwards with an easy mode.

Well, we don’t have a desert here in Germany where we could bury it, so...

No, it really is bad.

Fallout 76 was a terrible idea from conception. Fallout is beloved for its narrative, faction interplay, and memorable NPCs. So... Bethesda decided to make a PVP online FPS survival game which has none of those things. And they decided to re-use the same dusty Creation engine known for mediocre FPS combat mechanics and

Next week they’ll give it away for free with any purchase. Pop in for a pack of gum, walk out with a free coaster for your drinks.

Was watching Jim Sterling earlier today where he was talking about Bethesda re-introducing the bugs in their latest patch and he was talking about doing a “In Memoriam” video about Fallout 76, but he can’t because new shit keeps popping up about it.

Fun fact: 3 bobby pins in FO76 weigh the same as a PS4 controller.

I think it’s about time to start filing FO76 articles under “please end its suffering”.

It would be funnier if the Xbone bundle came with a PS4 copy.

I definitely prefer the gameplay of PUBG, but one thing that Fortnite does that is objectively better is cosmetics. I’m the kind of person who’s willing to spend money on cosmetics, but with PUBG’s silly system, since there’s no realistic chance of getting anything good, it pretty much guarantees that I’ll never throw

PUBG is a good idea poorly executed by a dev team way over its head. Fortnite is that same idea iterated upon by an experienced dev team that is able to experiment because the game’s core is already solidly built.

I mean, the two games are different enough that which is “better” comes down more to personal taste than any sense of objective quality. No sense in sneering at either one.

The building element is the reason I don’t like Fortnite.

Nothing like having the drop on someone with a fast cunning trap only to have a staircase instantly materialize in your face.

Fortnite is a better game in terms of quality. However, I will pick PUBG any day despite it’s bugs. Like you said, it has that military, grounded feel to everything. There are tons of mini battles happening all the time, lots of decision making to go along with the combat. Weapons themselves have a learning curve
