I’m really tired of hearing about Henrik Fisker.

You should go nuts. Customize every after market component you buy so is perfect. Paint this, paint that, cut this, fiberglass that, bondo here, bondo there etc.

MY MONEY: $50K on a 2 door Tesla coupe. Which currently doesn’t exist. OR a restoration project vintage Porsche. OR a perfectly restored E30 M3.

Where did that top article profile picture come from?

I think Tesla FINALLY stepped beyond the “this should look futuristic” line vs. “let’s keep it bland and familiar.”

Laser pin hole etched paint that only when lit allows light to escape.

What does everyone think of the updated front end design?

I agree that the i3 is more interesting than the i8 if only because of the leaps it made with Carbon Fiber. That. Is. Huge.

ACTUALLY it was called the GINA - which they said was an abbreviation for some long title - when in reality it was the name of the girl one of the junior design team members was sleeping with.

Not to mention that this is really only practical when traveling at Freeway/Autobahn speeds.

Awesome.

The most aerodynamic shape known to man is the “tear drop” - and it looks to me that by extending those rear body panels the IAA morphs into a shape closer to a tear drop.

Its not the best looking concept car by a long shot BUT it does push some boundaries in an industry that is usually pretty flaccid about new ideas.

This is EXACTLY the kind of out-of-the-box hair brained that we need to see more of in the Auto Industry. Ask me how I know.

Because it gives more design freedom. All the major components are basically in the floor boards.

Can’t remember the name, but those lights were of a Porsche thesis project by an Auto Design student from Pforzheim University.

I absolutely agree, looks like they picked up some fresh student blood and put them to work immediately.

When the Model III comes out it will charge in under 10 minutes. Now how many miles you will net in those 10 mins remains to be seen, currently it stands to be about 150.

Well said. Constructive criticism is one thing, but calling something junk is just trolling.

New technology always costs a premium, if you follow tech or have ever purchased a 1st generation Apple product you would know this.
