This is very well stated. The only thing I might point out is that it is becoming clear is that a very large portion of infected people never develop symptoms. Those asymptomatic carriers lead to the rapid spreading we are seeing.

*Crosses Ram off list of current FCA vehicles*
Many years ago I saw a bumper sticker on the back of what looked like an oil field service truck that said “Dear Lord, please let there be one more oil boom, and I promise I won’t piss it all away this time”.
Coronavirus cutting 1//3 of Nissan’s profits? That’s a loss of what? $7.82?
The problem isn’t that it’s a sports car with 4-cylinders, it’s that it’s at minimum, a $60k car with 4-cylinders.
The early reviews of the 4 cyl Boxsters were hilarious. Nearly every journalist reviewing praised it, while minimizing the 4 cyl sound deficit. It was a full round of ass kissing from everyone, lest they irritate/tell the truth about the downturn the car took for fear of losing those nice trips.
“One of” implies that there is room for both, as both are fantastic cars in my experience.
I suspect the 4-pot GTS will become a trackday favorite in 10 years after the new 4.0L causes the resale value to tank. That’s a healthy amount of power and torque, in a world-class lightweight chassis.
Obviously this is a mistake of a car that no one should have ever bought. It isn’t a real Porsche and should be erased from the storied history of the brand. Anyone who owns a 4cyl Porsche is just driving around a Volkswagen and should be ashamed of themselves.
I don’t get when people say this. It’s just simply incorrect. At prices above half a million yeah, but not in this range which is still realistic for a person with a $140K salary.
So, this is CP because you’d rather pay twice as much to pick your favorite color?
Nah, that’s a really reductive take. Pushrod engines are way, WAY physically smaller than SOHC/DOHC engines, and therefore can be placed further back and low in the car. They don’t have a problem making obscene amount of power using modern metallurgy.
“I can’t believe the Mercedes gets only 420HP from its 2.2L engine. Ferrari’s Formula 1 cars are only using 1.6L engines and they make 934HP!” -Literally just as stupid as your comparison
The difference is, those Hondas aren’t getting that exhaust system at the dealer, and the dealer isn’t telling the Honda owner he isn’t a real man unless he gets the straight pipes.
It’s high for a harley. You’re using harley’s shitty technology to define what a cruiser is. There is no law that cruisers have to have peak torque below 4,000 rpm. Last I understood, the v-rod was still considered a cruiser and it actually had a good engine that revved and efficiently used it’s displacement. A diavel…
I don’t want them to fail, I want them to evolve. Their image is as old as their customer base and that isn’t sustainable. They have ignored so many retro bike trends that they could have moved into seamlessly while pushing for one that doesn’t make sense for them (electric). After a while it becomes frustrating to…
This engine costs as much as an LS.
New. In box. From factory. With a better warranty.
Im getting quite sick of the whole “air cooled” argument. WHY does it matter if its air cooled? I understand from an engineering perspective getting power out of a air cooled machine is hard but why would you?
It actually warms my heart to see Ford finally decided to do in 2019 what GM has been shat on for doing for 30 years lol. The secret is pushrod engines.
