Is there more than one of these? I remember examining one closely at a display at the Woodward Dream Cruise a couple years back. It really got our attention.
This is why these “possession” and many other types of laws that (supposedly with good intentions) attempt to “prevent” something from happening are problematic. Most people can potentially be charged with almost anything at any time. Any of us can easily be arrested on trumped up charges if someone with authority…
Ranchero.
I would want it to be street legal, which this could never be with four wheels. Three wheels could squeak it through the legal process as a motorcycle (like the Morgan 3 wheeler and Polaris Slingshot).
This is where a single, centrally located rear wheel should be to make this a viable product in the US. Make it happen Honda!
So, was the violation essentially that your license plate frame was obscuring part of the plate?
A photo really is worth a thousand words...
I wish I had known this fifteen years ago, as I found myself staring at an empty hole with wires hanging just like this when I picked up a car from a local shop after having the engine worked on. I believe the car was unlocked when I retrieved it from their lot... The people in the shop just kind of shrugged when I…
I noticed this about AMG in particular, but I bet it is true of all of these “performance” lines. I’d see a fire breathing AMG whatever cruising down the highway and was typically taken aback by the little old lady driving placidly along behind the wheel.
Not only that, but was a recent BAT auction, twice! The first run was a no sale, the second was after the hasty manual conversion and it did sell for a decent chunk less than the current ask. This looks like a hamfisted attempt at a flip. It was bought for a market appropriate price and now it is marked up and looking…
I have louder aftermarket pipes on my Triumph T100 (Brittish Customs Sleepers). I think they sound pretty good and they make me smile when I twist the go knob. That said, I hate REALLY loud pipes. Harley’s with strait pipes... I’m looking at you. That shit is ear-splitting.
I love it. Needs a CODBRWN (code brown) vanity plate.
You sir, are living the dream.

This happened about fifteen years ago, I was in my early twenties. I was a college student who lived with his parents and owned three cars. Car #3 was a 1976 Triumph TR-7 that ran and was fairly solid but was a project that needed a lot of work, especially electrical. My parents wanted it out of their yard before it…
The problem is that Fiat Chrysler already owns Q2 and Q4, and Audi's not happy about that. Alfa Romeo doesn't use the badges anymore, but they did to denote the drivetrain on their 159 sedan — the 159 Q4 had all-wheel drive.
Can this reasonably be driven into the city for brunch where parallel parking is likely required? Assuming parallel parking is possible, does leaving it parked on the street leave you unable to enjoy your brunch due to worry?
I don't think I've ever owned a car without at least one of these, some of them in well optioned "luxury" cars. I don't think there is any way around them unless you order literally EVERY option. You really love your front and rear fog lights? Yeah, whatever...
Chrysler kind of dodged a bullet when they were allowed to disavow any sort of blame in a series of fires involving Jeep Libertys and Grand Cherokees and instead offer to "fix" these vehicles by offering tow-hitches that would somehow prevent the gas tank from being ruptured and lighting up like P-Funk on their swing…
