Putting it near the electric service drop (I’m guessing you mean where the electric service comes into the lot) would mean needing a separate branch off the main service…
It’s massively expensive for a business to run electrical cable that’s capable of up to 100A. They put it in front, near the building, to save thousands of dollars on the install.

As a PHEV driver (Chevy Volt) I have mixed feelings about free charger networks. On one hand I say great, make them free, I don’t want to pay... but at the same time if I bought a car that used only gasoline it would be like expecting the manufacturer to pay for your gas for the lifetime of the car.

Nobody will buy it with a 57 mile range. That range is probably the best it will get, take that same car New England for the winter and you’ll be lucky to hit 40 miles.
What do you do about “helmet head”? I tend to sweat in my helmet which messes up my hair for the entire day so I tend to not ride most days when i can.
