Watch how much Reed feathers the clutch in that video. When they switch cameras you can’t always see his hand. You can see it from the bar and front fender mount.

That’s correct, but its more about retarding the closing. The duration is fixed so it basically means the same thing. The engine hits bdc but air continues to flow in as the intake valves stay open a little longer. You can get volumetric efficiencies over 100% on a naturally aspirated engine.

I heard they will only be allowed to drive at night, and they will also have to drive around with a red dome light on until they find a customer.

I think his balls are so big they were resting on the accelerator pedal.

In a group while riding down the street. Its nice to have friends...

Yes my original point was in terms of power/tuning, but suspension is included as minimal modifications in my mind. Bolt ons are easy. You can tune a car and add good suspension to a 335 for a lot less than the price of a M3. You also have an awd option.

I agree but I don’t try to convince everyone to remove there catalytic converter(s). Some people understand the benefits, but if the masses start doing it it might end up being a modification that gets enforced some day. It’s better to let people think they are right. Its kind of like the tdi owners that already have

“in his Ducati”....how does that work exactly? Does he even ride motorcycles?

he still mentions modern turbo engines in his article.

I wouldn’t be friends with you either. The emission argument is very valid, also reliability and warranty concerns from the manufacturer limit output. Not to mention the fact than a 335 can easily outperform the flagship M3 with minimal modifications. That doesn’t sit well with the marketing department.

You didn’t mention the area where it has huge benefits. When you tune a forced induction engine you will tune it for more boost pressure typically. This is usually done specifically for premium gasoline. A tune designed for 93 octane, and in some cases 25-50% more boost will have a very significant increase on engine

Never meant to imply I would have married her, but you always wonder what if. It makes for a good story. I’m also single so maybe you should reread. Thanks for the comment?

I bet most of the research technicians are hourly. The guys that are actually performing the tests. They would be the ones that saw who made the changes, and what affect they had on the results first hand. This won’t get who made the decision but it’s a good place to start.

I really like the trail of rubber off the rear tires right into the window. I wonder if he was revving the engine as he let his foot off the “brake” (read clutch).

I don’t know if I’d go as far to say the worst luck. It was definitely a memorable learning experience. Trust me when I say the minute you decide to take the pegs off you will instantly regret it. Don’t do it man.

Thankfully that wasn’t the case, and to be honest it was never an option in my mind to try it out. I’ve had pretty good luck on motorcycles including dirtbikes over the years. I knew there would be some carnage stories so I wanted to include an experience everyone can laugh at.

I own a 2004 Buell XB12S. One day I decided it looked a lot better with the passenger foot peg brackets removed. The very next day I was at a friends house where I met one of his wife’s gorgeous friends. You can probably guess where this is going now. She is sitting on the bike and I’m in front holding the bike

Perfect timing. I just saw one of those trailer mounted ones today and was thinking about how it works. Video isn’t that shocking, but it’s just funny that I was thinking about it today. Previously I’ve only seen the ones that attach to the back of a truck.

When you are getting roosted you tip your head down to block the roost.

Now playing

If only she was driving an Audi in this scene.
