There are plenty more genres on PC than the 3 you listed, but that's a pretty normal thing for people who don't know much about PC Gaming to do. So I'll let that one slide.

Oh and not to mention that in this generation I certainly wouldn't generalize console games as saying they "just work." There have been PLENTY of games this generation with issues. Console patches are just as normal as PC patches anymore.
Yep, if you want something that's better, you have to put in a little more effort. No doubt about it.
I show them a lot more than that, but thanks for the generalization.
Oh and before some of you flip out on me, I own multiple consoles. And I thoroughly enjoy games like Forza 4, Little Big Planet, and Red Dead Redemption.
You can use a controller on *Any* PC Game. And it's really not even difficult.
Whenever people ask me why it's better to play games on PC than it is a console I just show them stuff like this and after they shat themselves they start asking me what it takes to build a gaming PC.
I don't recall that harsh of an article for Apple when they copied Android's notification system.
Good, I love it.
Clearly all Microsoft does is talk when it comes to PC Gaming. They give ZERO actual, tangible support to it. And it's really unfortunate.
I'm not mad at all, I just have common sense and maturity that many people choose not to have on the internet because they don't have to put their name and face behind what they say. Someone like you, obviously.
Thanks for perfectly illustrating why I don't play online. Immature douchebags.
Very interesting to see where this goes.
What exactly encompasses "everything else" in your post?
Cracks me up how it always comes back to the "losing their livelihood" thing with certain types of people.
They already did their "gut check" article where they openly admitted to not even playing the game yet, but still said it's worth buying.
Did this article *really* have people telling me to buy a game even though they openly admit that they haven't played said game themselves?
People who want to hear music how it's supposed to sound.
I'm not talking about using a 46" TV to edit Word documents, I'm talking about using a PC to do things like play games, watch movies, netflix, use pandora, etc.
The POINT is that people talk like it's not even possible. I'm not looking for every individual on Kotaku to give me their individual story of why they do or do not have their PC hooked up to a TV. Read the comments. People talk as if there is no other option than having a PC hooked up to a ~20" monitor on a desk.
