Jesus Christ, can’t a team just LOSE and blame it on scoring less points than the other team anymore?

Hi—I’d like you to explain the implicit logic behind the argument in this bad internet comment. You seem to be saying that rather than looking into whether stories are true or not, we should just take people at their word and run what they say. Is that what you’re saying? If so, what made you arrive at this position?…
Pete Carroll is pretty sure that was a false flag.
“The term ‘12th Man’ is a trademark of Texas A&M University and its use is pursuant to a license agreement with the university.”
I was at the game, and on top of this lady being a fucking ridiculous ball of over-serious smarm, as I understand it, the flag was left there and was HANDED to Cam by Panthers fans.
The whole “we’re more than just fans” / “part of the community” garbage is the biggest scam pro sports have ever pulled on the fans*. The team doesn’t give a crap about you or your community except insofar as you’re a source of revenue. If your children’s-hospital-QB player starts sucking horrifically on the field,…
I am really shocked that she called herself a Seahawks Fan instead of saying the usual “I’m a 12" which annoys the shit out of me.
Sorry, Cam’s actions on Sunday were far less egregious than that fucking commercial Wilson did with Macklemore...
That must be the most infuriated she’s been in all her 4 years as a Seahawks fan.
Best comment I’ve seen on this from Facebook:
See, what Cam doesn’t understand is that the 12th man is a family. A community. And they do what all good families do, steal shit from Texas A&M.
Sarah also has no idea who Shaun Alexander is and only thinks of Matt Hasselbeck as that old guy on the Colts.
Say what you will about Cardinals fans, the whole “Our quarterback loves Jesus” sanctimony from Seahawks fans is next level.
Oh, fuck off, you anonymous prick. As it happens, I’d never even heard of that until someone posted a snippet from it in another comment, today, after this piece published. It actually is possible for more than one person to have a deep interest in the same incredibly popular cultural artifact.
I largely agree with you. I watched a decent amount of Tom & Jerry when I was in college and enjoyed it. It’s definitely closer to the absurd than true comedy, but the subversion of expectations is paramount to any form of humor and if the gags are impossible to predict then it should meet that standard.
While a Coyote explains the (NHL’s) world
This reversal brought to you by the 2016 Honda Accord. With a rear-view backup camera and impressive all wheel drive you’ll be able to backtrack on having a player traded and buried in the AHL in safety and comfort.
The NHL said that fans could vote on whoever they wanted, and then responded “LOL, NO, FUCK THAT GUY.” when they got a result they didn’t like.
Don’t change the rules mid-stream without a good cause.
Outstanding. But let’s not give credit to the NHL for doing the right thing when it’s entirely their fault that the wrong thing happened.
Such an articulate, considered and exhaustively detailed examination of Road Runner. Such the opposite for Tom & Jerry.
