I confess, @avclub-89085904f0bffdb18e6df50da71ac0f5:disqus and @timothyfoley:disqus and others who loved this episode, the impact was lost on me mostly because I found most of it inevitable. After "Hoots," I saw a Gunter-centric episode description and it felt like we were about to learn what the fuck is up with

I've been doing a top 50 episodes feature. And yeah, wow. This is a hell of a season. The list is just nasty with season 5 and 6 episodes.

Truth.

Finn's is ice. It's blue. But the only problem is it seems to be the "false" comet.

QUESTION:

His geeking out taught me who Michael DeForge is. Luckily I beat him to Takami.

I loved this gag, but man it played it sooooooooooooooo long. It was crazy how long this took.

not necessarily prehistoric. gunter doesn't seem to experience an ice age

I like how it's slightly in the foreground relative to the rest.

"the comets are color coded for the 'elements' of candy, ice, fire, and slime"

i imagined jon bois writing this post

Root Beer Guy is unfuckwithable, though.

I never even thought of that. Wacky.

"Was that 'catalyst comet' the thing that hit Earth back in “Evergreen” and wiped out the dinosaurs?"

We can't be sure Gunter invented fire. He just built one.

Peppermint Butler versus Dwight

Those are all really great episodes, except for "Ghost Fly."

I love him.

I still need that fucking squirrel's name.

Strong second to the underrated "The Cooler." I'll throw in "Food Chain," "Breezy," "Ocarina," “Thanks for the Crabapples, Giussepie."
