This really feels like a joke come to life. Like something that Awesome-O would dream up. All I can hear in my head is something similar to the fake Rob Schneider trailers from South Park. "Adam Sandler is… the cobbler. Rated PG-13."

The ding-ding-ding-ding part reminds me a lot of the part in the Yes dance where they imitate a fork stuck in the garbage disposal.

I guess I'm in the minority here because I generally like it. There's not supposed to be a lot of meaning behind it, it's just some fun catchy pop music, and it succeeds at that. Saying it takes itself too seriously seems as off base to me as demanding that M.I.A. write a dissertation with her music.

I never rented from Blockbuster so all the nostalgia everyone else has for that, I have for West Coast Video.
