I’ll leapfrog here to say that there’s a line between advocacy and something else. Battlefront II devs were talking about receiving death threats today on Twitter. I get that folks are upset... I’ve been pretty vocal too... but I want to use this as a general opportunity to remind folks to approach these issues…

I don’t have a gambling problem, I do have a problem with f2p mechanics in a game which costs money. I’m not an idiot, these things make money so companies will put them in, I get that. I personally won’t buy games that do, and regard the people that buy them and ruin gaming by doing so, as dicks. Not sure what’s hard…

They understand being self aware is a hip thing (it is something I generally give points for, to be completely honest) but aren’t actually savvy enough to pull it off. Being self-aware about one problem you have in yourself/your game is only really endearing when the rest of you/your game reflects learning from that…

Well maybe, but isn’t Frostbite designed for straight 1st person CoD-style FPS’s? IIRC many of the developer woes tied to Frostbite were having to adapt it to work for 3rd person and adding in RPG elements

Because that is what this console is advertised as. A higher quality graphically and performance machine. In this instance it is fitting. As long as consoles exist, we are stuck at 30FPS because 60FPS doesn’t sell video games in trailers.. Its the graphics.
