It’s both. Skyward was basically a poor Metroid, with backtracking to substitute the lack of content ala Breath and Twilight. It’s like Star Fox Zero, even if you take away the jank controls, you got a half-assed concept in place.

Octopath’s early demo really helped fix some big issues, so it can only get better than today’s demo.  They’ll most likely put out a second demo next year with the changes in place like Octopath and Bravely Default 2. 

I always think of getting Chrom’s brand on my arm just like his. It’s a good inside reference for just those who know him. 

I know it’s been said before in past games, but those two boxes are way too similar, dunno how they don’t expect confusion. Especially since each version is exclusive to a console, no cross-gen compatibility on either.

You could have never known this was gonna happen, you can’t think that negatively. At least you didn’t offload it in like 2018. That’s like regretting buying Amazon stock on day one and holding on to it until 2014, like who freaking knows.  

I try telling my younger friends about how I loved their game aisles then with the boxart flaps and tickets. They were always like the second aisle from the entrance so you got games right when you entered. 

Japanese retailers have been doing this for over a decade with hard to find things. It has curbed a lot of resellers there. With online bots snagging everything hard to find on Amazon and other online retailers, I say it at least takes some of their power away.

I don’t call the four New Super Mario Bros. upgrades. They’re all different games in the Mario series. An upgrade is like Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition or something like that. 

I watched the Mario cartoons and read the old comics, so I only thought of the Koopalings as Bowser’s kids. It’s still hard to think anything but that.

Glad you took the plunge. It was my first Ys game too, now I’m playing Ys Origin and the Mana games on Switch because it’s so fun. 

Don’t need to play any others. Since it takes place in a deserted island, it creates a nice closed space that feels self contained.

Either Square said no or Nintendo wasn’t paying for the actors. All of Cloud and Sephiroth‘s English VA’s are TV actors (and Lance Bass for KH Sephiroth), so they probably want a bigger check than the normal anime/VAs you normally hear. 

Also with Ganondorf, honestly I just got him off the stage and got a lucky spike on him lol. 

You can dump it to easy mode and beat him in 30 seconds. It’s not that big of a deal lol.
