I think it’s partly because you wear them with leather dress shoes that don’t breathe. Also, they’re thinner than regular socks, so they can’t absorb as much before they get gross.

Saw the Canadian Women’s highlights of their game last night on Sportscentre (I live in Canada). There were maybe 12 people in the stands.

Except that the women now get paid more than the men for international hockey.

What does that even mean? What does arrogance have to do with anything? If that’s true then I guess it takes arrogance to win the Olympic tourny since a team made of apparently arrogant NHL players has won the last 2.

This is exactly right. The only thing is, maybe since the Olympic hockey is now obsolete, the World Cup will start to take its place.

It won’t be like that because the WJC is a level playing field. As stated in the article, Russia can use players from the KHL, which is where a lot of their good players still play. It will pretty much be Russian pros vs Canadian and American jr and college players. The tournament is just a mess now.
