I know that USA hockey pays both sides. But if the men’s team brings in $9 and the women’s team brings $1, than my point still stands.
I’m assuming it’s true (hence using the word “if”). But, regardless of how much of the pie the men are getting of their own revenues, why do the women deserve a piece of the men’s pie?
I’m pretty sure the US men’s team doesn’t get any money for being on the Olympic team, I could be wrong though. I believe they may get money for medaling, which I think matches what the women would get.
“All those girls bring money to the table, interest in the game, and a chance to grow the system at the top.”
Well they are winning a lot at the current amount they’re spending. So I don’t think that really supports an increase in spending in order to be competitive. The US and Canadian teams are head and shoulders above the rest of the competition and I’m pretty sure they’ve won every single tournament ever.
Ya, I agree with you. If they’re not generating money themselves, then I don’t think they deserve a piece of the men’s pie. It sounds bad, but it’s true.
Lol, well then I’d have to take my hands off and flip each one around.
But, I remember learning to tie my shoes quite well actually and that was about 10 years before I got an Xbox.

I didn’t struggle. It’s not Olympic level gymnastics.
I answered to other people’s comments saying that, as for as I recall, I remember being used to it from the beginning, playing Halo on Xbox.
I used to get the same for games like 007 on n64. I think it was the shitty framerate that got to me.
I just commented on someone else’s post that I’m not a big gamer, I didn’t grow up playing video games. Also, that my first game was Halo too and I don’t remember having any issues with it.
I haven’t been gaming since I was little, I seemed to figure it out okay. My first ever console was an Xbox with Halo. I don’t recall having much issue with it and I’m not a big gamer at all. Maybe I learned the mechanics outside of video games.
I couldn’t disagree more. I find that a ridiculous amount of time the players and coaches are so biased to the media when discussing a borderline dirty play on one of their teammates. So many times they spout off how it’s a dirty BS play that should be a suspension, when you know for a FACT that if the tables were…
Slashes of that degree on Methot happen 47 times a game. It’s maybe a 2 minute minor, 4 at worst since it drew blood (but I think that blood rule is stupid). It was a freak accident.
I guess that makes sense, but it’s still weird to me. Maybe it was my history growing up playing sports that helped. Like playing hockey stick handling and skating simultaneously or playing baseball and running for a fly-ball while getting my glove in position to make the catch. I don’t know, it just feels natural.
Billy Beane is not my loverrrrr....he’s just a guy who claims that I am the one.
What’s with the difficulty in controlling the dual sticks? My gf is the FURTHEST thing from a gamer, but after watching me play Battlefield, I finally convinced her to give it a shot. She absolutely couldn’t move while turning or aiming if her life depended on it. I can’t fathom how someone could find it so…
