Ahh, sorry. The way it's written is as if it's a response to Joel so I got confused when you replied to me.

I wish I could promote this.

I bet you're a blast at parties!

What Johnson is saying, is that the PC gaming market needs a "console." It needs that one device that people can go to the store and just buy and know that they will be able to play all of the current games.

That's the wonderful thing about opinions, isn't it?

While the masses will prefer simplicity over functionality any day, I don't think they're ever going to make that much of a dent in PC gaming. Over the past year or so, we've seen more and more developers and publishers extolling the profits to be made on PC, coming around to the idea that yeah, we're not all pirates.

1. Yeah it is and yeah it has.

...I think I recall a certain someone advising you against that purchase, amirite? ;P

To bigger (or rather smaller) and better things. Many of the big PC names have been doing great work towards solving some of the inherent problems of the platform and while we're not there yet, we're getting there. The worst thing we could do right now is try to fuck up that progress in favour of the easy way out.

I liked you too, Jesus, no gay. I'll probably still drop by to piss off Joel now and again but I'm going to be over at Press X or Die more often. You should drop by for a visit sometime. [forum.pressxordie.com]

Wait a second, yesterday it was just the accusation of being a paid shill that you had a problem with. Now you're saying that just calling your writing ignorant or terrible is grounds for a star removal? You may ban the majority of the people who posted in this article then, Joel. That'll show them. While you're at

I may be wrong but something tells me that this comment wasn't intended for me.

Joel took it from me for speaking my mind: [kotaku.com] href="http://kotaku.com/comments/">#comments

Thanks for the comment. I'm getting all emotional with all this well-wishing, lol. And feel free to follow that link I posted above and sign up over there, it's where all the cool kids are going these days ;D

closed systems have their place. However, without the open systems, the closed systems do not advance. It's not the consoles or the Apples that drive technology forward. It's the PC and it does so because it's an open platform. Manufacturers and developers can try new things and have the market there to support them.

See, this is one of the big issues with this article. It propagates the myth that PC gaming is really expensive when it's not. Sure, the initial cost of entry is higher than the consoles but you can get a solid system that will play any new game and still look better than the consoles for a quarter of the price of

Exactly! *sniff* :(

Sure, I didn't mean to come off aggressive or want to argue.

Wut? I didn't ignore anything. You said PC fans, nothing about FPS fans and it wasn't put in such a context.
