The Dropkick Murphy's are an American band, not an Irish band. They have Irish ancestors but the band itself is and always was American.

Yeah, it is an assumption I'm making but if my assumption is correct then Turn 10 don't really have a leg to stand on. I never said I was speaking in truths, I just responded to redguard with my own opinion of the situation presented by the OP.

Umm, mate. I'm well aware that it's been a long standing problem. My point is that when Turn 10 makes a statement like this yet has held back their exclusive Ferrari license that it weakens the point they're making. Going tit-for-tat and then grandstanding is childish behaviour, no two ways about it. I agree that EA

Does that make it right? Those would be the actions of a child, in my opinion.

Technically, if we were to limit our area to the convention, wouldn't the "normal", non-gaming folk be the freaks?

Sometimes, jokes can be highly insulting and uncalled for. I believe this is such a case.

A lot of the segment seems to try and convey that by not caring about your appearance you are somehow lesser than the more pretty and vain people which is just bs.

Well none of those things are taken out when Gamestop guts a game.

I believe it was sarcasm.

Sure! Post a link! I've got time on my hands.

It's a bit like the West & Zampella story. They were hired on a contract that meant they couldn't seek work elsewhere until their contract was fulfilled. Porsche, back in the day, gave EA a very favourable license and it's been biting them in the ass for quite some time but they still have to fulfil their contract or

Porsche are locked into a license agreement with EA.

He's a genius! Why didn't they think of that themselves?!

I'm happy being equally disappointed in both...then again, disappointed would assume I expect more. I think disgusted fits better.

We're not only paying for a disc though, are we? Even if the disc works fine, there's still more to a physical game than the disc the game comes on. There's the packaging and the manual and any inserts that the developers or publishers chose to insert. You're paying for the complete package, if you don't get that then

Steam is a direct competitor. It may not be a direct competitor in cloud-based gaming (yet) but it sells many of the same games that Gamestop does, often for much cheaper too. I'm willing to go all in to say that as far as PC games go, it's Gamestop's biggest competitor. There's some hypocrisy there.

The problem with pirating is that they'll just wave the numbers in the air and say "See, we were justified, they're all thieving bastards, let's break them on the wheel again!"

And then Square-Enix could say "No bother, if you're looking for us in the future, try Target or Walmart or one of the many other places on land and on the web where our games are available. Giving in, in my opinion, is just nurturing a monopoly.
