I think it’s silly to suggest that simply buying a game can completely negate all the good you’ve done for a cause.

You know you can play the game without buying it new, right?

I haven’t played the game, but this really sounds like something that was supposed to happen, then was cut for time/bugs/quality when it was apparent it wouldn’t happen by their launch window.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to make it, realized it would be terrible in the game’s current state and then scrapped it.  Probably working on it for the inevitable sequel.

It absolutely feels like they couldn’t nail the Quidditch gameplay and decided to scrap it rather than half-ass it, which I can appreciate I guess.  I am certain they will figure it out for the sequel, though. It would be a pretty big selling point (for fans of this one).

Yeah, the ‘hotly-anticipated’ mostly comes from it being the most wish listed game on Steam at some point. People were really curious how they had such a finished looking game out of nowhere, so I imagine a lot of those wish lists were also people waiting to see this grift of a game get exposed.
