Yep. I understand I’m stupid.
Not in the sense that I usually use the term. For me, I think of something you can fit in your pocket. I guess portable means anything you can carry around. But when it comes to portable gaming, I think of pockets. That’s probably my issue, tbh.
I’m not a big fan of Rick and Morty, but there were definitely many moments in that trailer where you could tell they were not voiced by Roiland. Morty is lacking the prominent voice crack, and Rick... something is just off about him. If I, a casual observer, notice the differences, I am sure the more hardcore…
Which I feel kind of ruins the whole concept of gaming on your phone... isn’t the point for it to be portable?
Paintbrush climbing! I didn’t even use it for any advantages. I just loved climbing as high as possible. It was so fun.
Bro... Why did it take this long.
Wait, so they didn’t walk back the runtime install fee at all? I thought that was the main issue people had. I see they increased the threshold for when you would have to start paying the runtime fee, but they’re not removing it entirely?
When I found out the Krypt was gone, my interest for the game tanked. I know you have effectively the same thing with the “Pay 1,000 Koins, get a prize” thing, but that is so unsatisfying compared to the Krypt. Not to mention the Krypt has a lot of interactions beyond just opening things. It’s a lot of fun. They make…
Bro... $250 million for Suicide Squad? That has to be a typo. Wtf.
“at this point I don’t think Nintendo’s even developing systems with processing power or graphics in mind.”
The one pitfall is that as gaming gets older and we run through all these different engines and OS updates, it becomes such a headache to get a lot of games working on PC. As time marches on, more and more games fall into this category and it sucks.
I don’t have a link, but I do remember reading that Nintendo would be approaching the game library between Switch and its successor with a kinder attitude. Something about assuring us that we will be able to access our Switch games digitally on the Switch 2.
This is just anecdotal, but I’ve been noticing more and more friends of mine that aren’t all that into technical stuff complaining about their Switch’s recently. Specifically, Fortnite is a getting a lot of flack. That game used to run pretty well, but as each update has iterated upon it, especially with the big one…
Was Infinity Blade part of that? Because that series looked phenomenal.
I think Nintendo not caring about technical power used to work for them, but nowadays it is actively working against them. I cannot believe these reports are saying the new console, which probably won’t even be out until late 2024 or 2025, will have hardware akin to consoles that came out over 10 years prior.
What a weird way to open the show. And when I saw Bennet Foddy’s name in the credits, suddenly things made sense.
“mostly DS and 3DS remakes.”
I think Square-Enix is legendary for their impossible sales targets. It really hurts them in the long run since nearly every game is a failure by their arbitrary metrics.
Is this them capitalizing on viral streaming hits like Only Up? I know Only Up was made on Unreal Engine 5, but I’m sure there are lots of games made with Unity that make a huge splash on streaming that cause an influx of purchases and downloads?
