Is that still Morse code?  Or is he just using that as an oversimplification for what’s happening?  When I think of Morse code I think of a structured and proven alphabet, not a catch-all term for doing things by pressing a button either for a short period of time or a longer one.

I highly doubt it :\ They have the money to license it all again, but I doubt they’ll consider it worth the price.

I’m definitely among them!  I hadn’t played for 7 or so months.  But I saw my villagers the other day and it was so nice.  <3  Nice to see that all of them are still there and mostly picking up weeds!

I think this is a good thing because it might get more eyes on the property than initially.  I know it kind of sucks to see something you love put into something that isn’t your favorite, or it’s used in a way that’s not to your taste.  But in this case, I think it might actually help the movie.  It casts a wider net!

That’s not too surprising, and I don’t believe for a second they don’t still have something like it now.

Edit:  Wtf.... I’m back in the grays?  :\

The point is that, despite their original intentions, they do not deserve death threats.  Frustration, maybe.  But not death threats.  Anyone that sides with the people sending death threats, even a little bit, need to grow up.

Reminds me of when so many people unsubscribed because of Cuties. My friend was one of them. They were convinced it was going to last. Then a month later, something great came to Netflix that they were interested in and they resubscribed immediately. I wish people that did boycotts nowadays had more conviction.

Comedy’s subjective, but I’ve always enjoyed Demetri Martin and Kellen Erskine. They tend to be cleaner and more relaxing, at least from the stuff I’ve seen of them.

He had a whole topic in this special, as well, discussing specifically a guy that apparently shot and killed someone, but they only got canceled after they offended LGBT groups.  I’m not sure how much truth there is to that, as comedians do have a tendency to stretch the truth and twist a narrative for their own

It’s strange to me when walkouts are discussed days or weeks before they actually happen. Do you have to give 2 weeks notice or something? I would think it’d be more effective and a bigger shock to the system if the walkout were orchestrated clandestinely and then enacted as a surprise.

It’s super ironic that this firestorm is occurring since in that very same special, he talked about just how joking about LGBT stuff gets you in very hot water. I think the stage for a comedian is a place of free speech where they should not be punished for what they say or joke about. Some of it can be horrible,

It’s just a fun idea to me to have movies with lots of references.  But not too many movies.  Ready Player One was fun..  Should every movie be it?  No.  But I don’t think there’s anything inherently wrong with a media property confluence film.

Same here! I think it’s a really fun game. I’ll admit I might be burned out right now... Only put 15 days of playtime in (comparatively minuscule to others’ playtime, it sounds like) but I think I’m starting to finally lose interest. BUT I still like it a lot

I would welcome a movie that could do what Ready Player One did but with stuff that isn’t just Warner Bros. properties. I could be wrong, but I think most, if not all, of the references in that movie were owned by WarnerMedia in some way or another. Same thing with Space Jam and LEGO Batman... I think it was really

A hard row to hoe... what an interesting saying.

“as long as they keep 3rd party stuff out of it”

I really don’t like the “Oh, it was in the trailers, so it’s not a spoiler” argument. Trailers spoil things allll the time, and Nintendo is one of the most notorious for it, too; showing too many things off, especially very close to release. Direct your attention to Super Mario 3D World’s trailer as a great example.

Yeah. Someone in the comments is trying to rationalize it by saying, “Oh it’s more encouraging the downloading of a Switch emulator which isn’t illegal!”

Streamers can turn on a setting that makes their stream 18+.  Not the whole website, no, but that is a setting.

Twitch wasn’t thrilled about it?  They made an entire new category just for it.
