Contrast that with Obama and Biden. Obama’s big weakness was that he was a young pup on the world stage. Biden is a foreign-policy giant. Problem solved. Also, John Edwards.

Franken might have worked. So might have Sherrod Brown TBF.
Ok. It’s not a rust-belt state. it’s devoutly purple. And Tim Kaine is unexciting.
when your VP candidate is somehow more low-energy than you are it’s a real problem.
At the convention, you’re supposed to move to unite the factions of the party. Not basically go “Fuck You” to a huge swath of energized voters and pick random-ass white dude from a northeastern purple state who shares most of your policy views.
Except she really didn’t. Not well enough, anyway, obviously. Also she supported TPP and called it the gold standard for trade deals. Doing that is the wrong move in an election if you’re trying to win the Rust Belt democratic base. it’s a great move if you’re trying to win moderate Repubs.
same here. Trump outflanked her on the VP pick and it kills me to admit that.
Also, can someone please tell me what people’s problem on this website is with Bernie? Not talking points about how he’s not a real democrat, but actual problems.
Because that pro-labor person would have beaten Trump about the head and face with the idea that he outsources his own jobs, proudly celebrates people getting fired, and really doesn’t give a damn about working-class americans. In an election where people are anxious about not having as good a life as their parents…
I got the feeling when she announced Tim Kaine as her VP. This was the time to pick a firebrand pro-labor, anti-free trade person and she didn’t. At that moment, my “Oh Shit” alarm went off.
He’s caucused with the Democrats. And good on avoiding that question about who you actually want to lead the Democrats instead of Bernie who is, again, out there with Tom Perez trying to advance the progressive message. Sit down.
It’s not. He ran for the Democratic nomination, caucuses with the Democratic party when appropriate, and is quite clearly and obviously the voice of the young progressive base. Pissing on him because he’s not a real democrat is foolish, and it’s a tiring talking point. And quite frankly, considering how many L’s the…
Try a new talking point.
I have to check up on him more, but that’s fair.
I was a Bernie voter in the primaries, and a Jill Stein voter in the general. (As a proud resident of a blue county in a blue city in a blue state, I can do this.) And the way this website has always treated Bernie offended me intellectually, and personally.
no. i’m saying I disagree with her thesis. She has an idea. I can criticize the idea. I am not criticizing her.
It read very much to me like an instruction manual. And I feel for her that her trauma has led her to react in this way, but she does seem to have perceptions about people that are deeply problematic. And no one here wants to hear my theory on why men are less able to understand why catcalling is a bad thing than…
Well it came off as instructional to me. And she quite frankly sounds like the sort of person I would want to avoid at all costs.
Maybe it’s because I’m a male survivor of sexual assault (We do exist), but this article felt very much to me as an excuse for becoming paranoid and highly fearful. I don’t want to tell my son or daughter that if something bad happens, they need to shut down and become like their father.
justicedemocrats.com. Let’s work on primarying this goofball all the way back to mormon country where he can pleasure himself to the Utah Jazz.
