The UAW and UMWA was the they I meant. And I am very, very, VERY cautiously optimistic. I need to hear some sufficiently progressive policy plans going forward.
Bi-Racial and male. And if all things go well, I’m going to vote for a Justice Democrat. I’ve actually put my name in to be a candidate.
I want the Dems to have a better relationship with the UAW and the UMWA. That would be nice. Again, the Democratic party is the only legit option but they need to get their shit together.
I forgot the numbers and the order. I thought the higher it was, the worse it was. Here’s the point: It’s pretty fucking awful. The Dems are at their lowest point in a generation, if not longer.
On the Democrats going forward, I am a proud resident of the show me state. I need proof. And if they start taking big corporate money, I’m done.
Ellison isn’t an establishment candidate. Perez is. You can’t be arguing that the first man to pick up on Donald Trump’s potential rise and a highly popular congressman from a reliably blue state is worse for the party than Tom Perez, who has never held elected office ever.
I am cautious and skeptical. The one thing that will ease some of that skepticism is if this party moves to the left on trade, and unions, and education, and health care. All the things the base wants. Because the running to the center has not worked.
and TPP is a shit-pile that kicks organized labor, a steady democratic bulwark since before you and I were even alive, directly in the fucking dick. Maybe, just maybe, we can stand with labor for once after they’ve stood with us all these fucking times.
Except Perez really isn’t. He was drafted by the White House, is pro-TPP and has an uncomfortable relationship with unions.
This is the thing. 33 of the 50 states are governed by Republicans. There are more state houses controlled by Republicans than Democrats. There is no one the Dems should be turning away. NO ONE.
You do realize Ellison said he was going to resign his seat right? Also, when you’re in the straits the Democrats are, rebuking the future of your party and your movement seems short-sighted.
A Setback= losing a life-and-death election to a respected candidate from the other party. Absolute Defcon 6: Losing to the most unpopular president since they’ve started polling on such things, losing the House and the Senate, and being at a deficit in governors and state legislatures (including every single…
In before some asshole decides that they’re going to post something about maybe killing him.
And I hate them all. I hate that trope so damned much.
How did David Cameron get away with it exactly? Like, was he traveling throughout the country secretly making people vote a certain way?
I dislike that show so much. So much.
That show was shitty to everyone.
I always think of Leah Remini as that woman on that show that made me realize that there are people out there who think that being shitty to fat men is not just funny but fucking hilarious.
I can’t stand him either.
