Because it becomes harder for said accused rapist to get a fair trial now, and who knows where we will be societally in the future. It may very well be that at some point in my lifetime we get to a place of guilty until proven innocent for sex crimes. That is where it intersects for me. The longer and longer a victim

This assumes that A: the evidence has not degraded over time and B: that all relevant information related to the case is still available (e.g. notes of the investigating team, hospital records, and so on and so forth.)

The people who would support this idea might argue that there isn’t any.

Before I go further with what I’m about to say, I need 3 things to be understood.
