The game WILL have support. It just won't have full integration (menu's and such) without the stretch goal. And they just changed that stretch goal to 52,000. Which they ARE going to get

They're looking for $650,00 in funding. It'll be interesting to see if they get anywhere near it, given this is a genre that doesn't really fit the Kickstarter success mould (namely, being a vintage type of game that doesn't get made anymore).
