Yep, as a long time fan of Sandman and Gaiman, I've always pushed the idea of a [cable] mini-series vs. a movie. The story is long, complex, there's some good season groupings of plot lines, and I think the economy of the effort would work better for a TV based production. I believe you're spot on with the response

She did drop a beer at my house, but was very helpful with the cleanup.

"Hello, IQF department, who am I speaking with today?"
"Nick"
"Hi Nick, I'm here to help you resolve your quality issues. Let's start by rebooting your computer, and while that's happening, can you tell me, are you wearing pants today Nick?"

Jeebus, I read your post, scrolled up, and about choked on my beverage … very nice :D Yeah, that's a whole lot of eat-shit-and-die in that gaze.

Might? One day? You'll do it this minute, now good day Sir (or Madam). Seriously, it's outstanding.

Same here, my little G (7-3/4), watched the last hour of it with me and was enthralled, barely moved, asked a lot of questions about angels and god (that I, of course, had no answers to :D)

Now I have to imagine a window opening …

Totally. In fact, the wife and I both thought a throwback Apple v. PC with him as Mac/Justin could've worked … also, when we was Matt, I couldn't get Jon Heder/Napoleon Dynamite out of my head (his look and delivery).

Loved Alan Rickman, he was always outstanding, and elevated everything he was in, from action movie to romantic Christmas comedy (and all things magical in between).

Same here, I half expected her to just kind of fade away …

Well, the Blacklist is an annual poll of the best unproduced screenplays, so I suppose IV is implying many of those screenplays use the 'loss-of-a-loved-one backstory' as character motivation … [?] So Blacklist material is filled with that plot mechanism, er, I guess.

Just the internet … but without any anti-virus because they're hardcore …

Excellent analysis with supporting video +and+ we get a stereoscopic replay of Justin Theroux sliding out of the tub naked - can this post be any better?

No kidding, with 6th Sense and Unbreakable, the "young/next Spielberg" comparisons started, and I was totally behind them, heck, I hadn't been as excited about a director for some time. Then he became "the twist" guy, and his twists got a little zany, the stories less personal and grounded, his ego inflated out of

"It insists upon itself."

Yeah, you know, I think I'd carry a big, heavy long +pointed+ pole (i.e., Morgan_Stick, pre-Karate_Jesus …) and just make it SOP that any body I came up on - regardless of how dead/still/burnt it looked - would get at the very least a few good whacks, if not an outright pointed-end-through-the-head'ing.

Hahaha, I always loved that bit.

Yep. Love me some JDM :D

This is also one of those cases where the review narrative doesn't seem to match the score. Heck, if I read his review without seeing the letter grade, I would've assumed a B- at best, and more likely a C+.

I've seen a few news items about Norman Reeds being involved in a movie or two, I think he was promoting a film called Sky[?] Maybe one of those cases where the "main" leads have enough clout to be able to ask for limited set time to do other things (i.e., I don't think it's really intentional on the part of the
