Nasty crash just now sent Jeff Gordon sliding on his side 800 feet, then flipping over four times before coming to rest on his roof. Thankfully, and especially with all the safety measures that NASCAR has now, Gordon walked away with no noticeable injuries.

Reminds me a little of this cover story from SI a generation ago that (largely incorrectly, but not totally) predicted the rise of China as the dominant force in athletics.

This is horrifying. The idea that a group can dictate from afar who deserves a constitutionally-protected right to counsel and who doesn't is frightening. If the message is: "Defend (people we believe to be) murders, have your lives ruined," then they must be stopped.

Great job covering this story. When politics (specifically, conservative politics) get in the way of providing poor women health care, we should all be concerned. Someone like Handel should be ineligible to serve in any organization - or hold a job, for that matter.
