Ferrari F40

GTi of course! I had an 04 VR6 and I loved it, even though it was the least loved GTi. It was fast enough and really fun to drive. I know, technically it is a Golf,

Organizational Culture.

It’s not so much a front engine car, it’s a mid-front engine car... The hood is so long because the whole engine sits behind the front wheels to shift the weight of the engine towards the middle of the car to try to balance the car’s weight distribution... If it weren’t for the long hood, they’d have never gotten this

I think VW was just the first one to get caught with their pants down.

I’m now starting to wonder if anyone has bother to look into their non-Diesel engines.

I don’t get the love for this car. It just looks awkward and long and wrongly proportioned. All I see is this:

You should do a counter article of 10 Cars People Think are Ugly but Aren’t.

Why is this awkward looking penis-car not number one? This thing is hideous.

Yup diesel at that...you could be completely independent of gas stations if you had cooking oil too.

Agreed. Not to go all sociobiology on you so soon after lunch, but we are Homo ludens, the game-playing ape, and if you give us a system of rules, we will figure out how to turn them to our advantage. It isn’t what we do so much as what we are.

My real point is that we’ve gone past the point of diminishing returns here, and regulations now exist purely for their own sake, as revenue generators for the government and not because they’re actually doing any real good for the environment.

This is called cycle-beating and all manufacturers have been doing it for years.

A soccer mom in a 5,000 pound car tank that does 0-60 in the low 3’s scares the SHIT out of me.

My hell, I want that.

Oh for fucks sake. That test is total BS anyway. It’s not a real world test by a long shot. Every manufacture does it.

The comments threads on Facebook posts from VW about this whole thing seem to have about a 60/40 split between who profess their love for the VW TDI regardless and those who have committed them to eternal damnation. Considering how short the public-at-large’s attention span is, I’d say of current TDI owners, you have

I’m a TDI owner, It’s been a super small minority that has actually blamed the EPA for anything. Even then it comes down to “unrealistic laws” and they admit that VW is the main reasoning behind all of this.
