I get what your saying but way too many of the singular stories out there are being told from a male perspective or even a white perspective. I know AC has been a bit more diverse in race but only one game with a female lead? That sucks.

Be honest, how much of the plot that's moving from point a to point b would be affected by the sex of the character? A few things might but if your a committed developer, you can write the script to accommodate an asexual character.

Okay, I'm not stupid but thanks for assuming that. I know you don't get to pick what the character looks like in AC. But they could still do both versions of the player character if they really wanted to. And if you think there weren't any women involved in the French Revolution then you need to go back to school. …

It isn't trolling. This is part of the problem of diversity in games to begin with. "Well he has to be a male" No he doesn't. There isn't anything he's doing in the game that couldn't be done as a female. Or a non-white person. It's like casting directors who put out audition notices that request only white…

So why can't Arno be a female instead of a male? Why are you so against asexual characters? In most games it doesn't matter what sex the player is unless you want to claim women can't be assassins.

This is ridiculous. Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age, Kingdoms of Amalur - just to name a few - all let you play as a male or a female. If it is so hard, how come they managed to do it?

Then you talk to Bethesda. Their Elder Scrolls games let you play male or female. So apparently it can be done 'cause I don't hear them bitching about how fucking hard it is to do.

The Elder Scrolls have been letting people play as male or female since "forever" (yes that is hyperbole for anyone who wants to argue). They seem to do just fine in that department. Wonder what they do that's so different?
