Just picked this up after watching the Penny-Arcade guys playing it on stream. It’s great! I love the the audio and visual design, and it’s just a blast to play! :D

I am eternally disappointed that the gaming community’s reaction to jRPG publishers charging $10-$20 for a mobile game was “HAHAHAHA NO WAY AM I EVER PAYING THAT,” so now every single mobile game has to be a free to play nightmare.

Nice that you mentioned Devil Dice, which was one of the few games released commercially that was made with the Net Yaroze version of the PS1.

It is challenging to come up with PS1 classics that haven’t been remastered (or are going to me, Medieval), and those who will be plagued by licensing issues. These are a few that I’ll likely never see again so it’d be nice to see them on a classic console:

It sounds brutal because a good chunk of the screen will be taken up by the UI, like the screenshot seems to be showing. I haven’t played this Civ, but it was pretty normal for the screen to look like this when you got late in the game, so at a smaller res it might be really cluttered.

Holy crap, playing a modern Civ game at 720p sounds brutal.

Im kinda salty cause RDR2 will win everything. As good as it is, I dont really believe it deserves it. It has many flaws or at least quetionable items, like the hud, the bugs, the controls, the shoting mechanics, the menus. I dont find it “perfect”, like GoW for example, that game is polished as hell.

It's not politics, it's people being shitty towards women with think veiled arguments. Women are underrepresented in games and it hurts nothing to have them as generals.

Being bothered by video games depicting women in positions of power, by definition, makes you a “soft pathetic excuse of a human being”.

Fragile masculinity strikes again. It’s reassuring though that they tend to overlap with incels, and thus a higher than average chance they’ll never produce offspring.

Considering, for example, the mere existence of gay people in games has some people crying “political!”, I don’t think those people are being reasonable.
