Magic the Gathering Online. You can buy/sell/trade the cards for digital currency in-game, and then trade digital currency for real currency outside the game. Although not explicitly supported by the game, speculation on cards for eventual real cash profit has been a part of it since day one.

Also, lol at the douchebros getting mad about getting exposed.  Take your NFT bullshit somewhere else.  Sad sack scammers.

Console wars are stupid. Just enjoy all gaming.

I was just poking fun at the defense everyone is making in the comments, that they hired a couple of consultants and that makes everything okay. As if there isn’t a entire economy built on people willing to give their stamp of approval on anything for money.

Just wanted to point out that *some* of Sony’s revenue that currently eclipses MS’s is from license fees on the games MS just bought. As Adam points out, even if CoD is on PS5, if you can get it for free Xbox then that’s a big chunk of Sony’s revenue just gone, and I believe you’ll see this “gaming revenue” disparity

I remember that article on Journey to the Savage Planet.  I also remember that at the end of it there was a link to the AV Club’s weekly article SAVAGE LOVE, a pun of the author’s name with an extremely racist term.  You can’t get pissed at a game for using a word in it’s correct and appropriate context while your

I can already hear the neck-beard chuds cracking their knuckles and typing their scripts about how this article is more proof that we need less diversity in gaming.

I imagine most devs are playing catchup because Epic has been at it so long that they got their events down to a science. Plus it probably doesn’t hurt that they’re working with the game engine they invented, have a pretty huge team working on it, and an absurd amount of resources to throw at the game.

The opinions of somebody misrepresenting their position should be easily dismissed. If an actual long-time member of the community was fed up enough to leave, that’d speak volumes. Instead this person clearly just wants to stir shit, or else they’d be criticizing the article as it is (as many others are doing) rather

Then maybe make your own comment that isn’t a reply to someone else?

I’m not saying this article is good

It’s more of a confusing thing, at least to someone who doesn’t follow him.

Ah yes, the semi-annual hyperventilating article about how a group of real-life friends who started streaming their hobby should replace half of their friend group with random people to meet a diversity quota, and how white people are forbidden from exploring anything except “Generic European” cultures even when they

I like how you say that they haven’t done anything “wrong” with the content yet but you’re still not happy.

This may seem like an overly cynical and bad-faith interpretation of what Critical Role is doing with this new campaign.”

There is a lot space between poverty and $200k cars and 3 million dollar houses. You don’t need that level of wealth to live comfortably. Only the most delusional proponent of socialism (not social democracy) would think that most people under a socialist system (or really anyone in a non corrupt one) would be able to

That’s more of a condemnation of America than it is of him.

If he donated 90% of his income, his salary would still be way higher than most Americans.

There’s definitely better ways to spend his money, but I don’t necessarily see him as hypocrite for his lifestyle either.
