Should be LIFE's Donal Logue.

THE KNIGHTS OF PROSPERITY had no chance to survive with that stupid and unwieldy title. If it had kept its original title, LET'S ROB MICK JAGGER, it would still be on the air.

According to a biography of Flip Wilson, Foxx "introduced" Wilson to America after answering Johnny Carson's question about exciting unknown comedians with Flip's name. Wilson got booked on THE TONIGHT SHOW shortly after that, and 4-5 years later, had one of the biggest variety shows on TV.

"You big dummy!" I have a Redd Foxx T-shirt with that quote on it.

Not to mention I never said I had no interest in the film.

I guess I didn't mean fan specifically of this film. Movie fans is what I was getting at. I should have just used "people."

Now that is a good comeback.

It's pretty much mathematically impossible for Trump to make it to 270. Unless Hillary commits another murder, I suppose.

Sooooo nobody can discuss box office grosses of any films anymore because filmmakers are rich and AV Club commenters are poor? Seems like a weird regulation to lay down all of a sudden.

Uh, yeah, whoopee. You should see me sitting here in my mom's basement waving pinwheels.

Good comeback, Francis.

I guess it is true that I literally do not jump into a comment section to discuss the box office gross of every film released in the United States. Just as it is true that you have memorized every comment section to know I have not pointed out any other flops.

Trump supporter?

I have to admit that I never actually saw or read this cabal of misogynist GHOSTBUSTERS haters, only the vitriolic reactions to them. Maybe they existed, I dunno. I didn't go looking for them, because I really don't give a shit about unhinged women-haters or anyone who takes any film that seriously. I always figured…

Where did I say I hated this film? Or expressed any personal opinion about it at all?

Angry? Obsessive? Political? For someone who doesn't care about this film, you sure seem conspiracy-minded about it. I didn't even express any opinion about the film. Merely stated facts about its box office reception.

The original film played theaters for 6-8 months. This one will be gone in 6 weeks.

How do I know this film is a flop? When fans start grasping at straws like DVD sales and action figures to substitute for box office gross to justify the poor ticket sales.

$144 million plus another $100 million in marketing costs.
