Who's to say it wouldn't sell? Where is the evidence? Which network is producing that type of program regularly, doing it well, and giving it a chance to succeed? It's more likely that the people running the networks and making programming decisions possess worse taste and less intelligence than they used to.

Good grief, can you imagine a network putting this show on today? I will argue 'til I'm blue in the face: we are *not* currently experiencing a Golden Age of Television. Television is less diverse now than it has ever been, which is sad because we now have more channels and more different ways of accessing television

Salukis, baby!

SIU?

I think I counted about 118 stupid things about that SVU (they took soup to her house!). But I can't look away from this show.

Hodge played Video for a long time and became more identified with the part than Coogan was, though Coogan obviously deserves credit for making the show a huge success. And CAPTAIN VIDEO AND HIS VIDEO RANGERS was *huge.*

And Enos with Rick Hurst after Enos got his own show as a cop in L.A.

"In the conclusion of the series finale, astro-nerd Urkel's life hangs in the balance when he takes a dangerous walk in space to patch the damaged spacecraft."

I always pay close attention to eating scenes to see how the actors will pretend to eat without ever doing it. It is a skill, and some actors are pretty good at messing around their plates and making you believe they're eating, even though they never put anything in their mouths.

GRAVITY.

All kids feel exactly like you do. Even Tarzan got stuck with an annoying kid sidekick that everyone hated.

ChumHum and FaceSpace are angry with you.

All of Mary Richards' parties included her boss, the sad sack who sat next to her at work, a guy she didn't like and his wife (whom she did), her best friend, her landlord whom she didn't like, and her female co-worker whom she didn't like.

THE MENTALIST does this all the time. It's even worse on MENTALIST 2.0 now that Jane has his own Airstream and is based in Austin. Now the characters fly to New York City to investigate a murder, fly back to Austin for a meeting, fly back to NYC so Jane can see the crime scene again, fly back to Austin for a meeting,

Peter Graves' brother is James Arness.

NBC was owned by RCA, which invented color television and obviously had a huge incentive to make as many color TV series as possible. I think NBC was the first network to have an all-color schedule, and I think it was in 1966, the year STAR TREK debuted.

I like the garish colors when they're photographed well, like on STAR TREK, for instance. Of course, the reason the colors are so bright in these '60s shows was the novelty of color television.

Er. Okay.

"I'm terrible at listening to anything with electric guitars, but those Beatles were surprisingly good."

Don't forget the second part of that sentence: "I’m terrible at watching anything in black and white, so it took me a bit of time to piece the plot together."
