Laughlin and Burt Reynolds play juvenile delinquents in an M SQUAD episode that is interesting today.

Yeah, most of those hit songs for Cannell's shows like this and HUNTER and HARDCASTLE & MCCORMICK were covered by guys like Scarbury to cut costs. So those "terrible tunes" are part of the original soundtrack.

"It’s one of those songs that’s better known than the show it accompanied; I had to look up on Wikipedia what it was even about…it was a terrible show."

I wondered that too, but couldn't bear to watch. I doubt it.

Didn't realize he had passed away. I always wondered what his connection was to the TAXI staff. Not considered part of the cast, but was in nearly every episode, even if just an extra, and got one or two big parts. As a reward, I dunno? Would like to know more about him. I figured he was a friend of DeVito's or

I hated IDENTITY once I realized that there were zero stakes, that nothing any of the characters did mattered.

Yes! You get it!

Let's see if we can make a list of actors who would be worse in the role than Ed Helms?

Peter Lupus is available to take back the role that O.J. took from him.

I think some of you are putting way too much thought into REVENGE OF THE NERDS, but dammit, Rainbow, I loved every word you wrote.

"We have bush!"

Is this actually airing somewhere? I've been waiting for two years to see this.

"I didn't realize TV ever made sitcoms about people who were over forty and poor."

IRONSIDE and THE BILL COSBY SHOW are also awesome Q themes.

Thanks for clearing up for me the question I've had about Darling's directing debut. I have wondered whether "Chuckles Bites the Dust" was, in fact, the first thing the OWEN MARSHALL co-star had ever directed (she did this, DOC, and MH,MH about the same time). If so, it would have been one of television's great debuts

The director of SUCKER PUNCH making a Wonder Woman movie.

I never believed every episode would get 500 responses. But how many does it have to get to be worthy of a Classic article? 50? 200? 4? Only Todd knows the answer.

Yeah, could sub SANFORD for CHICO. I didn't really consider HARTMAN/FERNWOOD/AMERICA as sitcoms (nor SNL or SCTV), but your mileage may vary.

I'd like to see a show bring back that style of slapstick on a 3-cam show. It's hard to believe the stunts Williams and Marshall pulled off in front of a live audience on a small soundstage. I'm not really a L&S fan, but I admire that level of "going for it."

Have you never wondered whatever became of me?
