"Next time I shall not be so lenient!"

Only 2 billion people on Alderaan, but 2 million on the Death Star? I think those estimates are way off.

As a Doctor Who fan my tolerance is high. But really, the whole issue could have been explained away by the Doctor sonic-ing around and declaring that there was a wormhole in the belly of the beast, and that's where the extra mass is coming from. Sorted.

Yeah, suck it, I DO read the paper!

I always thought Lonny Ross was an affably amusing presence on the show and honestly rather cute, so I miss him. Plus "Hard Ball" is one of my favorite episodes. "Suck it, I DO read the paper!"

"Helloooo, it's me, Luis Guzman!"

Damn, he's cute.

I, too, missed Rachel Dratch - her Baba Wawa impersonation was an incredible hoot, and every February 14 I find myself saying "Happy Valentimes!" all day.

I have a Travel Scrabble set and every time I play, that line pops into my head.

Aw, I like Pepe!

Steal from the best, I say. Just for the record, that "Hot Voodoo" number was also homaged in the opening sequence of "Barbarella." Also for the record, that same gorilla suit also appeared in the excellent "Island of Lost Souls."

I have never seen Batman & Robin but the minute I spied the "native dancers" and costumed gorillas I thought "Oh my God, they are going to rip off Marlene Dietrich's famous Hot Voodoo number." And sure enough they did.

Maximillian is indeed one of the great movie robots and the hellscape at the end freaked me out to no end as a kid. Also, the scene where Perkins removes the face-mask of one of the drones to reveal a zombified crewman really stayed with me.

I had the Maximillian model, which I put together rather badly. I eventually took it apart, and I remember filling some of the segments with water and freezing them, hoping for an ice-sculpture of it. Instead I got a lot of weird shaped blocks of ice. Still…pretty neat.

I was amused to read an interview with Proyas where he said that he kept saying to the casting people "Find me someone like Riff Raff from Rocky Horror" and then somebody said "Why don't we just cast HIM?"

The "one episode of Doctor Who" sneer tickled me, as both actors have each done one episode of Doctor Who. (Of course, Jacobi was also a voice actor in "Scream of the Shalka" and in Big Finish's excellent "Deadline.")

Better late than never, but future generations browsing these reviews might like to know that Dominic Glynn, who composed the music for this story as well as "Ultimate Foe," and also created the spookier theme featured in this season, has just released an EP of new remixes of his "Trial of a Time Lord" theme. Check it

I just want to pop back in here and mention, late though it may be, that Dominic Glynn, who composed the music for this story as well as "The Mysterious Planet," and also created the theme featured in this season, has just released an EP of remixes of the"Trial of a Time Lord" theme. Check it out! https://www.youtube.

It is worth pointing out that the "original ending" seen on the Blu-Ray is ALL the footage they shot, and NOT a fully-edited piece. Why they made that choice is beyond me, but check out a rough version of the *actual* original ending here (in Video #2). It is much more impactful when cut to about 3 minutes.

I like that song too - it's like "Whistle While You Work" on crack. Also I am always tickled by "Call Back in the Morning."
