Let's face it, selling cheap junk can only last so long. Wii is really reaching it's capacity now. That is why they had the artificial shortages all the time, otherwise the wave of people buying the cheap junk would have ended way earlier.
Ha ha, this is so funny. People are paying $250 for a console which is basically a PS2 with a magic stick. The PS2 is $99. So people (millions and millions of people) are paying $150 for a magic stick!
It seems the PS3 is getting more and more exclusives. I waited very long, got mine only a month ago, but that has been mu MO since the PS1, always 2 years after the release. Cheaper that way, not by a lot but still cheaper with more games.
