Right? That is like saying you are a die hard Star Wars fan but forgot it was set in space.

You realize that X-Men was literally created as a pretty obvious metaphor for the civil rights movement, right?

The Avengers is pretty damn far down the list of things to blame for American foreign policy and the military industrial complex lol.

Calm down. It probably had been planned and made months ago. Should it have been posted NOW? obviously not. But its not like they made it today to send a message of solidarity with the Confederacy.

The game was rumoured to have broken like every pre-order record on PS4. It's currently number 1 on Amazon among all video games. And this review is BY FAR the outlier. The game has recieved near universal praise.

To be fair, I have seen several female reviewers give the game glowing praise. The Gaurdian review (written by the former UK Kotaku editor who is female) gave it 5 stars and had pretty much the opposite view of the game as the two reviews you mention.

I hear you, man. This article paints a pretty grim picture. But at the same time it does appear to be the very minority opinion right now. Most places don’t seem to have the same issues this writer does.

Pretty much. Like, ND made a pretty big deal about the fact that they have added actions to Elie that joel could not do in the first game. I’m really interested to know how that effects gameplay. Does it change it significantly? Is it mostly irrelevant? But this “review”doesn’t even acknowledge it, let alone evaluate

Do you think Cyberpunk is going to be sunshine and rainbows? Lol.

I have to agree with you. This feels more like a personal editorial than a review. Which is fine, but it’s much less informative because it is tied to a specific person and is therefore inherently extremely subjective.

Not only that but the polygon review (and this one to a lesser extent) seem to be really downplaying how brutal and depressing the original game was. Its kind of baffling to me that anyone who played the first game would be shocked that the second one is a “misery simulation”. That’s what the first one was too.

The first line of that article LITERALLY confirms everything I just said lol

I mean, you clearly don’t understand what first party games are. It’s pretty clear from what you are saying. It doesn’t make sense.

Uhhh.....yeah I’m pretty confident that FIRST PARTY GAMES won’t be multiplatform. lol. Maybe some wind up on PC months after release but that’s about it.

I guess I will have to reserve judgement until I play it myself but the writeru being surprised that the sequel to a brutal, at times, soul crushing game is also brutal and soul crushing seems pretty strange.

You know the article lists the games showcased right? You can clearly see which are first party and which are not. And they showed primarily first party games (or exclusives)

You don't have to do math. The article lists the games and they are primarily first party titles.

“I am also curious to see how many of the games Sony showed will also be launching on Xbox or PC as well”

Huh? It was pretty much all gameplay. Did we watch the same video?
