That’s not padding. Zachary Levi got ripped for this movie.

Mulaney would make a horrible Walmart greeter.
There’s flashes of brilliance in the Hobbit films. The “Riddles in the Dark” scenes in the first film, and Bilbo’s encounter with Smaug in the second, are brilliant, faithful adaptations of those scenes. It’s just the stuff surrounding it that’s not up to par.
While there’s been plenty of good to great Christmas songs since, I think B Town is right in that “All I want for Christmas is You” is the last “standard,” i.e. one that’s going to end up being played by nearly everyone everwhere during Christmas season.
The Cable Guy has already gotten a cult resurgence and critical reassessment, just google “the cable guy is great” to find numerous articles praising the film.
Sadly, it doesn’t look to be streaming in the US:
There wasn’t any actual nudity in The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. Uma Thurman is technically nude in one scene, but always “tastefully” covering the relevant bits
The reasoning behind not trademarking the X rating was that the MPAA thought films could use that rating if they wanted, without having to formally submit it for rating. Since who would voluntarily rate their film the most restrictive rating, unless it was warranted.
That Firefly example Dracoster gave didn’t happen.
Anyone ever see Yellowbeard? That movie’s full of rape jokes, all basically along the lines of “pirates like to rape.”

Zyzzyx Road in 2006 made only $30 on opening weekend.
I think the implication with the closet is that the real-estate agent may have cleaned up his mess so as to be able to sell the highly valuable apartment.
My point is that Scarecrow Video isn’t really surviving as a profitable video rental service anymore, but as a non-profit “archive” of media that happens to also rent it out.
While Blockbuster Video wasn’t likely anyone’s favorite video rental store, it’s ubiquity means that most people in the US of a certain age have a memory of it. Nobody outside of a certain region is going to remember a particular mom-and-pop store.
Hey! I recognize the Blockbuster Video store in the headline photo! It was in New York City, at around 773 Broadway. I actually used to frequent it. The earliest Google Street View capture available, 2009, shows it being called Blockbuster MEDIA, but it’s the same store.
Scarecrow Video had to go non-profit to survive.
Gilliam himself has stated it’s a bit of a “don’t meet your heroes” situation, where the kid meets Napoleon only to find out he’s height obsessed and amuses himself with crude humor instead of leading. He meets Robin Hood, only to find out he’s a mostly ineffectual figurehead to standard thugs. Only Connery’s…
Nerdist has also pulled some content featuring him from Youtube. I was in the middle of a playlist of Kids in the Hall clips where each clip was followed by an interview between Hardwick and some members, and the playlist is now removed and most of the clips are marked Private.
