A new what now?  I can’t imagine a new cable channel is that lucrative a prospect in the cord-cutting era.

It’s working fine.

Did mainstream MCU fans ignore the Netflix shows? I feel like a lot of them watched Daredevil and some of them watched Jessica Jones and...some of them watched some Luke Cage and Iron Fist and that’s about it.

It seems like both a nod to the fact that not every Marvel Studios thing “matters” in the grand scope of the series, which, duh, but also an attempt to plead with viewers that they should still care about what happens here anyway.

I think the more alarming thing is the allegations that the production crew facilitated Brand’s attack, and then ended the victim’s employment after it.

Absolutely, but I also think Brand could have made the move based on his real beliefs. There was definitely a type of Hollywood liberal pre-2020 that was ill-informed, eager to believe in conspiracies, suspicious of pharmaceutical companies, and worried about whether stuff is “natural.” The same people who two decades

Seriously, fuck this dude.

As someone on this website said at least once; Brand’s hard pivot to far right antivaxxer makes a lot more sense (apart from the antivaxxer bit) if you assume he was expecting accusers to come forward.

He was part of Thor’s social group but they all hated him. It always seemed like they kept him around because he was Thor’s brother. It felt like Sif and the Warriors Three tolerated him because Thor still believed in him for some reason, despite him constantly acting malicious toward them.

Remember that period when a ton of idiots suspected this show didn’t actually exist, and the title was a cover for another show with a much bigger name? As if Kevin Feige would be stupid enough to announce a show about a Native American, deaf, AND one-legged superhero, and then say “You didn’t actually believe we’d do

yeah seriously. They freaking recast two major heroes in phase 1 and no one cared. Unless Majors saw Feige kill a guy i really see no reason to cut him loose and save them their own Ezra Miller situation.

It can’t be said enough: Ke Huy Quan is awesome.

With Loki able to control his time and location hopping, I feel like emotionally the show had to flange way out into his love for his friends (hard to build in just 10-ish episodes, but they did get there) so that later, with his new found power, he’s going to be Really Badly Tempted to cash in and reassert his Godly

Another cracker of an episode, really excited to see what they do with the finale. This one cemented for me what I’ve been thinking since the first couple episodes with the reviewer assuming Loki had no clear motivation, that the whole show is a meditation on what you choose to do with your life, who you choose to be

I think that the main reason it exists is that it just for whatever reason became personnally important to Paul to finish the effort. He has referred over the years to his desire and intention to do it. For sentimental reasons I think, not crass or cynical ones. And there is no “John’s AI replicant voice” or is John’s

This does not sound like a Beatles recording. There’s no dynamics, the drums are barely audible, none of the Ringo fills, everything sounds flat and boring. Lennon’s AI replicant voice sounds tired and bored. Why does this exist?

Hopefully they beef up the writers room in a series way. Outside of the final episode, this most recent season was pretty darn bad. I’ve pretty much liked everything Futurama has done, even the Comedy Central seasons that the fandom beats up on some. The new Hulu season though? Ooof. It was the most bland, basic

Looking back, I don’t think I’ve ever come across a person working there that didn’t at least like being there, (at least to where I could see it on their face). They were all just nice people that had a love for gaming. It’s a shame the exact opposite of people are the ones that are put in leadership roles.

I actually bought SpiderMan-2 at my local GameStop. Figured the people there have to love gaming more than anything. I was right! The guy at the register asked me about my Pro account (which I don’t have) and then joked it’s not even worth it for him. Thursday before it released I witnessed a great group of employees
