First three seasons of the show are legitimately great cartoons. They have a looney tunes energy but also know when to be restrained and make a quieter joke

The quality dropped off sharply long ago (to be fair, I haven’t really seen the mid-2010s seasons where Stephen Hillenburg returned), but I’d rank the first three seasons of Spongebob as legitimately some of the best animation ever produced.

Man…getting a dvd with two battlestar episodes on it, then watching them real quick so I could drop them in the corner box with late pickup so I could get another dvd with two episodes in two days rather than three…why did this model decline again?

This was the first I heard about the Hassan Minhaj kerfuffle, which was disappointing.

I don’t think it should be a career killer — Louis C.K. has proved the bar is a lot, lot higher for that — but it makes sense that it’s going to be disqualifying for hosting the Daily Show, at least this time around.

Seems a bit odd to frame this as the “kid friendly” spooky stuff, considering it’s... You know, Disney+ lol. They don’t even have a general “horror” genre and the only spooky stuff that isn’t kid friendly (that a kid would actually see and want to watch) are the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episodes, right?
