That “making of” documentary was so accidentally revealing, it baffles me that Disney willingly put it out there for people to see. Corporate narcissism at its finest...although I will say, every making-of Disney documentary they’ve put out since then has been comparatively safe and depthless (Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s

Frozen was wonderful in large part because it was a simple and heartfelt story about sisterly love, with fairly l0w-key stakes. I still cannot fathom the thinking that led the same creative team to decide that the sequel needed an EPIC ADVENTURE tone where it was revealed that Elsa was a Last Airbender or something.

So are they trying to sell it so that

It’s debatable, but I’d say Hulu has the best interface, and still one of the best libraries, among the various streaming services. That library obviously has a finite shelf life, given that every major player is doing their own thing now, and that’s a real bummer.

Translation: the BBC took one look at the pitch of an increasingly cash-desperate and past-his-prime 82-year-old reviving his near-universally beloved almost 50-year-old sitcom with absolutely none of the people or elements that made it beloved all those decades ago and were like “Yeah nah, we’re good thanks.”

If you read Michael Palin’s diaries, especially the Python years, it is very clear that they all kind of thought that. Chapman and Cleese seem to have more of a similar writing style and their connection seemed to come from that over anything else - the same is true of Palin and Jones. They were without a doubt close

Well, he was always difficult but at least his politics were ok in the 60s and 70s. Seeing him parrot stale conservative talking points these days as if they were some brilliant insight is just sad.

Not sure if it’s really devolved. I’m a big fan of Monty Python and while it’s never directly said, I always got the impression that the rest of the guys thought Cleese was a twat.   He wrote the most with Chapman so maybe they got along, which is a bit ironic given his conservative streak late in life. Or maybe

As if he’s even watched any BBC comedy in the past decade.

I’m afraid that Cleese has devolved into an upper class twit.

He was pretty good in Ground Floor, and great in Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist (but that cast was stacked). I’ve heard good things about So Help Me Todd, but I think if he’s in a CBS procedural a lot of people know who he is now...

They do! They’re particularly into ‘blind box reveal’ style toys nowadays which, granted, make for web video fodder when opening, but are filled with pretty traditional dolls, action figures, etc with accessories.

Representation is all fine and well, but there does seem to be something a bit weird about how intense grown adults can get on the subject of who children’s cartoon characters might be hooking up with.

These movies are gradually becoming less ‘movies’ and more ‘blatant enterprises in shameless overt emotional manipulation’.

Has Buzz ever had a bear?

I feel we’ve been having this conversation since TS2 was announced. How can they make a sequel to such a groundbreaking film without losing the magic? TS3 announced: they caught fire in a bottle twice, how can they possibly make another movie that’s as good as the other two? TS4 announced: they ended the series

How about a crazy wedding?

Here are a few of the reactions we’ve seen on social media since the news broke earlier this afternoon...”

Maybe Mr Potato Head gets a cell phone?

I love it when an “article” is like 200 words and it’s attributed to the whole AV Club staff. What, did you all contribute a sentence each?
