I normally don’t like or see horror movies, but I saw M3GAN due to a combination of factors: One, the reviews were really good. Two, I have a $99 annual pass to the nearby theater (LOOK Cinemas, a weird chain with big giant reclining seats and in-theater food service) that entitles me to one free ticket per day

one of the strangest decisions i’ve ever seen was ‘we must destroy the new scooby doo movie, but we can’t possibly deny the world mindy kaling’s take on the characters’

I like how they said you couldn’t make Scooby Doo funny in an Adult cartoon. He’s a talking dog with a speech impediment that eats comically large sandwiches with weird ingredients in one bite and is owned by a guy named Shaggy. I’m not a comedy writer but seems like you got a lot to work with there.

You don’t want to see Shaggy just talking to himself?

find me a modern cartoon that DOESN’T look like this. hate that we landed on this so much.

They’ve made Velma a brown, openly gay character.

It looks like a flash game from 2005.

I liked Garfield without Garfield, but I don’t think I’m going to like Scooby without the dog.

Making Velma into a little person is quite a choice.

I used to see Love Shack on Pop-Up Video a lot as a kid, but I don’t think I really appreciated her vocals until I happened to hear Roam somewhere, which resulted in me becoming a big fan and the most annoying 12-year-old that summer as I told anyone who would listen absolutely everything I had learned about the

Also people have different opinions on who has the best voice.

I mean, opera singers and Motown could probably get you most of the way there.

Once I remember that Rolling Stone started as a vanity project for Jann Woerner to meet John Lennon and it’s almost single handily responsible for the sexist underlying behind the whole pop vs rock debate, it becomes real easy to ignore lots of Rolling Stone content.

I’m annoyed that a list is getting me peeved at all, it’s a ridiculous list put out by a modern media company, but “Best Singers of All Time” is just stupid because it’s not a list of that at all. It’s a list of some of the best mostly American singers from mainly the mid-20th century to now within a generally a

There are also some difficult-to-avoid questions about holding any kind of protest, even a very silly one, one year after the January 6 insurrection”

Yep. There’s 200 better singers than her? I don’t think so.

Yeah, even though she’s not in my song rotation, I can’t deny she’s got some amazing pipes.

Plus, there are people in Hollywood who are terrible at acting and are still getting roles and don’t have parents in the business. I don’t think there’s a particular scourge of awful actors who have famous parents.

Hollywood nepotism isn’t the problem, it’s the symptom of a larger one- namely that it’s so incredibly hard to even attempt a career in the arts without already being financially well off and also well-connected. The fact that you NEED to know a guy who knows a guy etc. just to get your foot in the door, and also need

At the end of the day regardless of who your parent were it might get your foot in the door, and I am 100% sure it does. But if your terrible at the job, in this case acting, your not going to have much of a career. Colin has done pretty well in the acting game, meanwhile Chet has at BEST some minor forgetable role.
