Jeez, is HBO gonna start charging for blue check marks now?

Oh, I think if you look around you’ll find there’s a whole torrent of ways to get it.

So basically Zaslav was brought in to smother HBO Max with a pillow? The Batgirl thing I could conceptualize as a viable way to take a tax write-off and save some money, but this just seems counter-productive. Just because something isn’t wildly profitable doesn’t mean it’s not still worth something. It feels less

The guy running HBO sure does seem to suck.

Why do people who don’t like things get put in charge of those things?

On the plus side, I will be saving $15 a month not paying for HBO Max as part of my own broader financial review!

Superman is interesting when he’s allowed to be a fun, confident three-dimensional person and not a mopey chew toy to be repeatedly killed and turned evil. I think filmmakers need to realize the Superman as Christ metaphor well is dry. They forget he’s just a kid from Kansas.

I feel like you can do Christmas all December. Just like I’ll take a Halloween sketch any time in October

I have to disagree. This was not a good episode. All of the sketches seemed overlong and the end punch lines all fell flat. Also maybe it’s just me but I’ve never found Martin Short all that funny. Steve Martin is great.

I wonder if there’s extra holiday material because some of it was written last year when the holiday show got cancelled. I imagine there’s probably a few writers with ideas that were well-liked then that never aired.

That’s pretty much his entire shtick, though, isn’t it? He’s the “I can’t believe this is really happening right now!” guy.

I’ma less than casual viewer and my default mental video of snl is Mikey Day saying “Why are you (insert premise here)"

I agree with the reviewer that it makes no sense that this is not the actual pre-Christmas episode.

Don’t forget Sarah’s real dad! He’s going places once he gets finished kicking the asses of Please Don’t Destroy

I’ve been (perhaps) unfairly hard on the Please Don’t Destroy guys, mainly due to the impossibly high bar that The Lonely Island guys set, but also because they’re just not that funny.
But this skit truly cracked me up. The escalating ‘worst-case scenario’ nightmare of being busted for talking shit about someone (Zoom

Even the best sketch has Mikey Day explaining the premise again... TWICE.

I’m super grateful for Only Murderers. Especially if it ends up being their last major work together. Their characters are just so awesomely “them”.

I’m not an MBA, but this sounds suspiciously like raiding your couch for spare change because things are that bad.

Shocker that the guy who gutted departments and binned a bunch of projects for tax write-offs favours short term payouts over long term deals...

He just compared leaving the show to “like when you do something on Twitter and so and so happens” then realized he spent 7 years rehashing that same joke and got choked up
