I get that; the sound of those early tracks is so engrained in my brain that it automatically thinks Christmas music whenever I hear some 40s/50s choral group.

She started in some reality shows like Dance Moms before becoming a YouTube sensation in her own right. But she has been in some Nickelodeon/Disney stuff so you’re not far off.

Counterpoint: every song from 1978's “Christmas Eve on Sesame Street”

Yeah, it’s a good song regardless of how often it gets played. If we were hearing “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer” or “Christmas Shoes” with as much frequency, then there’d be cause for alarm.

That sounds like a threat.

Sure, but they can milk that taping session for years to come; they haven’t been in the studio since pre-pandemic yet have been able to put out like 30+ episodes from just unused material.

Well, according to this movie, he died in 1985. So we’re long overdue.

Would it? His life seemed to be relatively drama-free. They would naturally have to enhance things to make a compelling story, which is what they did with WEIRD, only they took it to an insane degree.

Yeah, sure, I don’t expect this to be very objective at all, but it will have a new animated short by Eric Goldberg, and any chance for today’s Disney to try out some old-fashioned 2D animation is welcomed.

Those new shorts they’ve been doing for the past few years are terrific though. Like, as well done as the new Looney Tunes shorts on HBO Max are, in terms of comedy, these new Mickey shorts blow them out of the water, which is a total inverse of how it used to be.

IMDb is never the most reliable source of information.

It’s a bold strategy, Cotton.

That is the most likely scenario.

Then who was my mommy kissing under the mistletoe on Christmas?

I dunno. The mockumentary episode about the DJ guy tracking down Gary Wayne is on par with any 30 Rock episode.

I mean, I’ve enjoyed the series so far, so I’ll follow it wherever it may go. Probably not a good signal that this has happened though.
