Yeah, but also all these movies don’t tie-in to each other very much, even when they attempt some continuity. So who’s to say whether this is just a one-off thing for this particular story or how they’ll handle things for the next DTV movies.

Klepper couldn’t get his own show off the ground, but who knows, maybe helming an established show would help him.

I also re-watched the first season the other day, and yes, he was still funny, but I had totally forgotten about his role in “Desking” and giving Gregory a path to deciding to be a full-time teacher instead of wallowing in not being principal.

He’s my favorite character, so I’m glad to see him get bumped up.

The show didn’t end because of the lawsuit; the creative team felt it was their time to end it.

That is a thought I had when first watching it. Do real teachers find this show funny or a sad reminder of the reality of the school system?

Lake Bell as Ivy is good when she just has to be sardonic, but the last two episodes where it necessitated she actually, like, emote, she really fell flat IMO.
