My Monopoly Hot Take: If your show or movie doesn’t have enough recognizable locations to fill a Monopoly board, don’t bother making one. Like I’ve seen ones where the properties are the characters themselves or the Friends one has famous episodes instead of places. It virtually ruins the point of the game.

Yes, but they’re presenting that as a TV Show, which it was. It also looks like they’re ignoring the fact that Chip and Dale were popular characters even before that show happened.

I expected them to be very Cheaper By The Dozen wacky/slapstick-y, but was surprised by how grounded the first one was (save for the scene where Steve Martin tries to get back an envelope). The second one dialed up the silliness, IIRC, not much but still noticeable (like Steve Martin trying to stop a wrecking ball…

I forgot this was a thing several times over the last year.

I think maybe the first episode or two are free for their original programming; you have to have a paid account to view the whole thing.

Aren’t the main characters in Wicked supposed to be like college-age or something? I don’t think we need another Dear Evan Hansen on our hands where the OG leads are playing characters they are now far too old to portray.

I usually skip the majority of the “Broadway Melody” sequence when I rewatch this, except for the beautiful dance between Gene, Cyd and the big flowy scarf; the rest is just so long and has virtually nothing to do with the rest of the film, which is otherwise perfect.

K, but like, that’s gotta be it, right? They can’t do a show set in the 80s that lasts more than the 80s did.

Some may, but it seems like a lot of animated shows these days have a lot of episodes ordered upfront then parsed out in “seasons” by whatever they’re shown on (this is a huge point of contention for the staff since they’re not getting paid more).
