I saw an early screener last month and it’s good. I think some of the story changes didn’t work too well (no spoilers, but Benny’s storyline suffers the most from cuts and changes), but it looked pretty, the music is great, and I liked a majority of the cast (Lin was great as Usnavi, but there’s something about

I’m so dumb, I actually thought it was Dolly until she stepped out into the light and I realized something was up.

And you’d think that Legends of the Hidden Temple reboot would go there too and not the CW (unless Paramount doesn’t outright own that show).

It worked for the RENT movie, right...right?

I knew they pitched a high school version, but I hadn’t heard they tried for anything more.

Kind of! That was treated more as its own show, whereas Bunk’d is still Bunk’d.

re Bunk’d: Especially since it was supposed to be a “Jessie” spin-off, and now all those kids left, so it’s like a weird spin-off of a spin-off but not really.

Sesame Street kinda already beat them to the punch on this:

I wish I could fail upwards like that.

Meh.

I thought Stumptown was actually headed for renewal, but COVID kinda torpedoed that.

I didn’t watch American Housewife beyond a couple of episodes this season, but the cut down to 13 episodes seemed like a signal that it was the end (maybe a COVID thing, but the Goldbergs managed to get a full 22-episode season done). I did catch the season (now series) finale and I guess things ended well enough.

No. There were a bunch of little jokes and scenes that were cut before broadcast that they put back into the DVDs (these don’t have any commercial fade-to-blacks beyond the theme and credits). The only ones I can remember was that opening scene in the pilot where they’re just shooting the sh*t before Ross arrives was

I’ve been meaning to get around to watching this one; it does seem better than the title and source material lets on. And there’s a bleeped swear at some point, right?

Random pet peeve: they put out extended versions of the episodes on the DVD boxsets, but the HD remasters have used the broadcast versions instead and those scenes aren’t anywhere anymore.

Also Ugly Naked Guy was seen like twice by a nondescript actor, never in full view.

Like most procedural shows, it could be a little repetitive, but the idea of a grade school cop show is really great.

I’m an 100% down for more Venture Bros. Aqua Teen is good too, even if the actual movie they did is...eh. Never watched Metalocolypse.

I did watch all of Kimmy, yes. It’s been awhile since I watched any of them, though. But yeah, I do know they were longer than 30 Rock’s average episode. I’m not sure it worked in favor of this show, though.

I found the show very funny and the actresses were all great; Sara Bareillis really nailed the Liz Lemon delivery. And boy, I loved that “New York Lonely Boys” song.
