There’s about a dozen or so missing musical bits over the course of the series. Many episodes are 100% in tact tho, even ones with edits on the DVD boxsets (and oddly, some of those episodes that were uncut there are now cut here).

Yes.

I’m fine with that. People are definitely going into watching this for the first time with the impression that it’ll be all “Mahna Mahna” or “Being Green” and be surprised by James Coburn making a Chinese “ah-so-so” face in the middle of a number. Better than cutting anything.

Two Season 5 episodes aren’t there - the Brooke Shields episode (due to some sort of music rights issue apparently) and the Chris Langham episode (due to thinks I’d rather not repeat here; you can look it up elsewhere).

Same; she was adorable without being annoying.

Ya’ know, the one thing that pissed me off about Endgame’s time jump was that Abby Ryder Fortson won’t get to play Cassie in the next Ant-Man movie; she was great in both of them.

There’s a couple of Muppet Show episodes missing on Disney+ (one understandably so) and a number of music cuts (including stuff that already got cleared for the season box sets, so that’s peculiar). But damn man, they finally did it. They got pretty much the whole series out there.

It’s obviously got to be Kermit the Frog.

It’s Modern Family-ish. The talking head is MF, but the rest isn’t the hand-held style the rest of the show has. The music and all makes it feel like the other contemporary ABC sitcoms (like The Middle or The Goldbergs).

Did not expect to see the AV Club talking about Jack Benny of all things.

It depends what the puppets were made from. There are a number of puppets that are 30+ years old and still getting used from time-to-time, though they are probably refurbed beforehand.

Am I the only one who sees the title as “Brigadoon” every time they scroll past it?

Now playing

He got to appear again with the Muppets at their live O2 show a few years ago:

There are many a less-than-kind thing Muppet fans can say about Treasure Island, but I’ll say something I really like: all those zany new pirate puppets. They have great, unique designs; like at the beginning of “Cabin Fever” - I love the one with a wedge cut in his head and that red creature with the giant orange

I remember back when that 30 Rock Peacock promo special aired months ago promoting these new shows and I was all, “Wait, we’re in a pandemic. When the hell are even gonna be able to do these?”

There was those few episodes where you saw her as the higher being in the sky, then I guess “Spin the Bottle.” After that, yeah, it’s no longer really her.

Yeah, I’m sure creative folks have been writing a lot of stuff in quarantine, but on the other side of this, I have no interest in any corona and/or zoom-based media.

Well, it can’t be worse than that Warner Brothers animated version from the late 90s.

I think the shortened season is the reason, coupled with when it was scheduled; no fall airtime meant they had to figure out a way to do a Halloween heist without retreading the Cinco de Mayo loophole. Hence the episode where they skip months and months of Jake and Amy trying to conceive; I doubt they could have kept
