I wasn’t all that into the pilot, but I binged the series a couple of weeks ago just to see what the whole LGBTQ broo-ha-ha was about. I wouldn’t disagree that Luz/Amity relationship felt rushed, but Amity as a horny idiot has made me smile more than anything else in the show. What can I say? I love love.

Oh my goodness, that’s so awful.

I’m pretty sure the 99 doing something about all the bad cops they come across is a recurring thing on this show.

Every bit of news about Quibi is worse than the last.

I didn’t *love* Milo Murphy’s Law, but I do think it’s a bit of a shame that the second (and final?) season was forced to be so P&F-heavy, then everyone on that show left to work on this movie.

Oh look, there goes my interest!

When I was younger, it felt like MadTV was on all the time there.

Review, too. Even if the last season was just a mere three episodes, it’s a miracle it even happened at all.

I watched like half a minute of their animated thing where Bobby Moyhanihan plays a weed dealing zoo manatee, and that stuff looks like it was produced on a budget of whatever coins were in the sofa. Early 2000s adult swim stuff looks better.

I don’t really care for Tosh, but I think I’d rather take this show over Ridiculousness, which I always found to be just “assholes watching YouTube.”

I agree. I’m so tired of these flatly animated shows. I know it’s cheaper, but if the writing can’t save it, then what’s the point?

I’ve kinda lost interest in all the political satire shows A. because this administration is walking satire and it’s gotten really old laughing at it, and B. there’s just too many; every TDS correspondent gets their own show and it’s overwhelming.

Let’s hope nothing bad ever comes out about the creator of the Schnookum and Meat’s Cartoon Show.

Who would want to watch a nearly five-minute intro to something on DVD?

I’ve heard an ice cream truck play the theme from Love Story.

I totally forgot when this was dropping. Thanks for the reminder!

Now playing

You must have missed that Key & Peele sketch:

I’m gonna say this might be partly inspired by how well the Elmo talk show on HBO Max was received.

Everyone should have a friend who’s always taking pictures of things your group is doing.

I don’t say any of this as a slam against the new Magic School Bus, which again I haven’t watched any of beyond the trailer/theme song. But OG Animaniacs had (mostly) such strong animation because the OG Looney Tunes shorts had such strong animation. The reboot needs to follow suit.
