There was some quote by a Disney exec that was like, “It’s not live action or animated, it’s a new kind of filmmaking.” Which is nobody bought.

I still can’t believe this is the first of three remakes they’re releasing this year alone. I just want one to bomb Solo-style so we can put the kibosh on this trend.

I had many a good laugh throughout the episode. That cold open was ridiculous. They should do one for every letter of the alphabet.

Nice to see the show return (only to go on another 2-month hiatus. Blerg.) with a nice episode.

Lots of great moments throughout: Hitchcock spilling two jars of sauce on himself somehow, Holt’s breakroom bit, Jake telling off Mrs. Santiago...

Holt’s “Sweet as poison pie” reading was perfection.

I don’t think “cover” means them doing a new spin on their own song. 

I thought that distinction went to Selfie.

I’m gettin’ real tired of nostalgia. Space Jam isn’t even good to begin with.

I think the only gag that didn’t work for me was the sudden jump to day 50 of Jake obsessing over the case. That kind of thing works better in a cartoon than a more grounded (yet still rather cartoony) show like this.
